To achieve complex interlocking control among numerous equipment in the water distribu-tion pump room of a large water plant,as well as precise control of the outlet pressure of the water distri-bution pump unit,an automatic control system has been designed.In the hardware design of the system,the stability and reliability of the system are enhanced through PLC hard redundancy,dual fiber industrial ring network,and sub ring network.Combining detailed control strategies and PID algorithm to develop software programs for the system,the automatic control system has been running stably for 3 months.Ac-tual operation shows that the interlocking control of the automatic control system is accurate and reliable,with high precision in water pressure control,greatly improving the automation level of the process unit in the water distribution pump room.It has strong practical value and reference significance.
