A Clinical Study on the Effects of Xinshuaining Pills in Treating Senile Hypertension Complicated with Heart Failure
Objective:To discuss the clinical efficacy and safety of treating patients with senile hypertension complicated with heart failure by using Xinshuaining pills combined with conventional treatment of western.Methods:100 patients with senile hypertension complicated with heart failure were divided into two groups at random:the treatment group (50) and the control group (50).The control group was given conventional western medicine therapy,while the treatment group was given Xinshuaining pills combined with conventional western medicine therapy for 4 weeks as a course of treatment.The changes in curative effect of TCM syndrome,heart failure syndrome,clinical indicators (SBP、DBP、LVEDD、LVEF and NT-proBNP)were compared.Results:After treatment,the TCM syndrome curative effect,heart failure syndrome curative effect,left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and plasma N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) levels of the treatment group were superior to those of the control group.Differences were statistical significance (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion:Xinshuaining pills combined conventional western medicine therapy was better than conventional western medicine therapy in treating patients with senile hypertension complicated with heart failure.It has high safety and deserves the clinical expansion.
