The formation of research universities in the 19th century established the division of today's three major knowledge domains:humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.However,advance-ments in new artificial intelligence programs and other technologies surpass the wisdom of traditional re-searchers,driving the rise of inter-and trans-disciplinary digital humanities and changing the conceptual-ization of humanities research, providing new ways to understand past and present cultures.Neverthe-less,as artificial intelligence and digital humanities become increasingly interdependent, the connections between artificial intelligence and other scientific fields are weakening year by year.We urgently need a two-way movement:artificial intelligence must pay more attention to social sciences, and social scientists must also pay more attention to artificial intelligence.
