Investigation and risk assessment of soil pollution in typical relocated industrial sites
The paper studied a typical relocated industrial site in Northern China.300 soil samples and 15 groups of groundwater samples were collected from the site for testing.Single factor pollution index and Nemerow comprehensive pollution index were used for data analysis and evaluation. The re-sults showed that the pollutants in the groundwater in the site did not exceed the standard, and the organic pollutant chloroform in the soil exceeded the standard.Using a single factor index evaluation, the Pmaxof heavy metals is less than 1,which does not cause soil pollution. The Pmaxof chloroform in organic pollutants is 11.93,causing severe soil pollution.Using the Nemero Comprehensive Pollution Index evaluation, the comprehensive Pmaxof chloroform at all sampling points in the plot is 8.44.The chloroform in the soil belongs to severe pollution, with severe pollution points accounting for 3.33%,moderate pollution points accounting for 3.33%,mild pollution points accounting for 1.67%,almost-clean points accounting for 3.33%,and clean points accounting for 88.33%.Using ArcGIS Difference Simulation Analysis, the main pollution areas of chloroform are the production workshop 3 and its sur-rounding areas, with a pollution depth of 0-5.5 meters.Further risk assessment was carried out for the site.According to risk assessment, the carcinogenic risk range of chloroform at the sites exceeding the standard in the site is 1.79E-06~2.40E-05,which is greater than 1.00E-06.The carcinogenic risk is unacceptable. The main exposure is by inhaling gaseous pollutants from the subsoil in the indoor air. This study provides scientific guidance and technical support for soil risk management and control of industrial relocation plots, especially organic chemical pollution sites.
