Analysis of a typical heavy pollution process during the Spring Festival in Nanxiang Basin:taking Xiangyang as an example
Based on the environmental monitoring data of Xiangyang in January 2023,combined with aerosol Lidar, backward trajectory model(HYSPLIT)and other technical means, the pollution fac-tors,meteorological factors and transmission sources of a heavy pollution process during the Spring Festival in Xiangyang were studied and analyzed. The results show that the pollution source changed in the way of the sand-dust type-fireworks type-secondary pollutants type-sand-dust type. The transport of coarse particles in front of weak high pressure and high altitude was the main reason for the increase of PM10 in the first stage. The polluted air mass mainly came from Xinjiang,Gansu and Inner Mongolia, and passed through Ningxia,Shaanxi and Henan. The second stage is mainly affected by unfavourable weather, regional environment, pollution transmission and fireworks discharge, resulting in heavy pollution of PM2.5,which mainly came from the local air mass in Hubei. In the third stage, the pollution source changes from haze to dust and then gradually dissipates. In the early stage, the cold air carries upstream pollutants to affect Xiangyang, and later, with the high pressure moving southward, the weather phenomenon gradually turns to be affected by floating dust. With the transit of floating dust and the settlement of coarse particles, the air quality improves.
