Preparation of Ultra-long AgNWs with Aspect Ratio Greater than 1200 and Research on Their Influencing Factors
Ultra-long silver nanowires(AgNWs)with a high aspect ratio(>1200)were prepared by a modified polyol method. The effects of reaction temperature(120~170℃),reaction time(0.5~3 h),stirring rate(0~300 rpm),molecular weight of poly(vinylpyrrolidone)(PVP)(58,000~12,800,000 g/mol),the amount of ferric chloride(FeCl3)ethylene glycol solution added(0~5.6 g,5 mM)and the amount of PVP added(0.2~1 g)on the morphology of AgNWs.The ultra-long AgNWs prepared under the optimal experimental conditions had an average length of about 96.6 μm and an average diameter of about 80.0 nm.In addition,AgNWs with different lengths and diameters could be obtained by simply regulating the amount of PVP added.
