Rapid Synthesis of Silver Nanowires and Application in Flexible Sensors
In view of the shortcomings of the traditional polyol method for synthesizing silver nanowires(AgNWs),which produces a large amount of by-products such as silver nanoparticles and silver nanorods, which brings many difficulties to subsequent material processing steps and reduces the performance of the material in device applications.AgNWs with an aspect ratio of 1000 were synthesized using raw materials such as polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP),ethylene glycol(EG),NaCl and AgNO3 through secondary heating of polyol. The structure and morphology of AgNWs were characterized by SEM,UV-Vis and XRD,indicating that AgNWs with almost no other silver nanostructures were synthesized.Applying AgNWs in practice,a flexible strain sensor was prepared using AgNWs as filler and polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)as the substrate. The prepared flexible sensor has good strain capacity, and under the strain condition of 100%~150%,the sensitivity reaches 2.405.
