Synthesis and Properties of Addition Formed Polydimethylsiloxane Release Coatings Modified with Diphenylsilyl Groups
Using potassium methoxide as a catalyst, tetrakis(vinyldimethylsiloxy)silane(TVDMS)as a capping agent, and tri(trimethylsilyl)phosphate as a neutralizer,dimethylcyclosiloxane(DMC),2,4,6,8-Tetravinyl-2,4,6,8-tetramethylcyclotetrasiloxane(V4),and octaphenylcyclotetrasiloxane(P8)were used as materials,a diphenylsilyl modified vinyl-containing polydimethylsiloxane was successfully synthesized through high-temperature anionic ring opening polymerization reaction environmentally friendly. Its structure and molecular weight data were characterized by FT-IR,HNMR,and GPC.After preparing it as a release coating, its properties were characterized by 180° peel force test, hydrophobic angle measurement, refractive index measurement, etc. The results show that the cured sample has high hardness and good transparency, and its refractive index increases with the increase of phenyl content. The release coating has a water contact angle of 100~110°,and as the phenyl content increases, the peel strength and residual adhesion decrease.
