Thermal Hazards Investigation of Hydrogen Peroxide and Impurities
Differential scanning calorimeter(DSC)was used to detect thermal parameters such as the initial exothermic temperature, peak temperature and reaction heat of different concentrations of hydrogen peroxide and its impurities. The thermal analysis kinetic method is used to analyze and obtain kinetic parameters, such as activation energy and pre-exponential factor. The results show that the initial heat release temperature of 27.5%hydrogen peroxide is between 69 and 130℃,and the specific heat release is 762.36~825.37 J/g.As the heating rate increases, the exothermic temperature of hydrogen peroxide increases.According to the thermal analysis kinetic calculation, the activation energy of 27.5%hydrogen peroxide is 63.63 kJ/mol,and the pre-exponential factor A is 19.29 s-1.Different impurities have different effects on the thermal stability of hydrogen peroxide, and through XPS testing,it can be concluded that Cr3+is doped in hydrogen peroxide will be oxidized into Cr6+.In summary, during the production, transportation and application of hydrogen peroxide,it is necessary to control the appropriate temperature and avoid the introduction of impurities.
