Antifouling Property of Hydrophilic UiO-66 Modified Electrodes
The antifouling property of hydrophilic UiO-66(UiO-66,UiO-66-NH2 and UiO-66-(OH)2)modified electrodes was investigated. The peak current obtained from UiO-66-NH2/GCE modified electrode retained up to 95%of the original value in FcMeOH solution. This phenomenon was attributed to the excellent hydrophilicity of UiO-66-NH2 that facilitated the formation of a hydration layer on the electrode surface, which created a physical and energetic barrier that prevented hydrophobic substances, such as proteins, from approaching the electrode surface. In addition,UiO-66-NH2/GCE modified electrode also exhibited long-term stability.Therefore,UiO-66 can be utilized as a new class of antifouling materials. This study also provided an effective strategy for the construction of electrochemical biosensors with good antifouling ability and stability.
