Preparation and Properties of Active Ester-cured Naphthalene-based Epoxy Resin
Naphthalene-based epoxy resin(NEP/TTR)was prepared by reacting resveratrol-based active esters(tri-toluoylated resveratrol,TTR)with naphthalene-based epoxy(1,6-dihydroxynaphthalene,NEP).Firstly,the internal structure of NEP/TTR was characterized by infrared spectroscopy, and the results showed that NEP/TTR had no obvious hydroxyl absorption peaks, indicating that no hydroxyl groups were generated by the epoxy curing reaction, which was conducive to the enhancement of the resin's dielectric performance and the reduction of water absorption. The further test results showed that NEP/TTR had an excellent performance with a dielectric constant of 3.46 and a dielectric loss of 0.0094 at 10 MHz,and a 24h water absorption of 0.15%.In addition, the T5%of NEP/TTR reached 365 ℃,indicating that the resin had good heat resistance. In conclusion, the prepared NEP/TTR is a low dielectric epoxy resin with excellent performance.
