Preparation and Properties of Self-healing Polyurethane Based on Blocked Urea Bond
In this paper,a kind of hindered urea bonding curing agent,HUG,was synthesized using toluene-diisocyanate(TDI)and trans-N,N-diaminocyclohexylenediamine.The agent was then used in the polyurethane network structure formed by hydrogenated castor oil and TDI.The resulting polyurethane exhibited good self-healing properties. The polyurethane samples were characterized using nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectroscopy(NMR)and Fourier infrared(IR)to confirm the successful introduction of the hindered urea bond and the preparation of the polyurethane. The thermal stability of the samples was tested using differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),thermomechanical analysis(DMA),and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA).The self-healing effect of the sample strips was tested using scratch self-healing test and the hot compression welding test.Additionally, the stability of the sample strips against chemical reagents was tested through a dissolution test. The study demonstrates that the polyurethane can achieve self-healing within 1 h at 60℃.Moreover,it exhibits greater resistance to commonly used chemical solvents and possesses a good shape memory property. These findings suggest a new direction for the preparation of self-healing polyurethanes.
