Attitude Survey of Indonesian Public towards Traditional Chinese Medicine
Objective This study employs a questionnaire survey to analyze and present data regarding the perception and attitude of the Indonesian population towards traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among Indonesian citizens aged 17 and above,with a total of 228 partici-pants.The survey was conducted from July 28,2023,to August 8,2023,using a self-designed questionnaire comprising 26 questions.Data were collected through Google Forms.A total of 228 responses were collected,out of which 176 were deemed valid,resulting in a valid response rate of 77.2%.Results The Indonesian popula-tion demonstrated a high level of awareness and positive attitude towards traditional Chinese medicine,particu-larly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic,where TCM gained more attention and trust.Conclusions A-mong the 176 people who responded to a valid questionnaire,over 93.8%of the lndonesian population expressed their willingness to consider TCM as an alternative therapy for certain health conditions.Additionally,the study revealed a positive,trend in the attitude of the Indonesian population towards traditional Chinese medicine.However,there are still some unresolved issues that need further attention.
