A Clinical Observation on 72 Cases of Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy Treated by Su-perficial-puncturing Method Combined with Traditional Acupuncture
Objective To observe the clinical effect of treating cervical spondylotic radiculopathy with the method of superficial-puncturing method with the function of freeing yang.Methods 72 patients with this dis-ease were randomly divided into a control group and a treatment group by using random number table method,each with 36 cases.The control group was treated with the conventional acupuncture only.The clinical efficacy of the two groups was observed by comparing the differences in pain score,cervical spine dysfunction index and efficacy evaluation before and after the treatment,2 weeks and 1 month after treatment.Results After the treatment,the pain score and cervical dysfunction index of the 72 patients decreased(P＜0.01),and the treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P＜0.05 or P＜0.01).As for the efficacy eval-uation,the effective rate of the treatment group was 97.2％and that of the control group was 83.3％after 1 month of treatment,indicating that the effective rate of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of treating cervical spondylotic radiculopathy with superficial-puncturing method combined with traditional acupuncture is remarkable,and it is worthy of clinical promotion.
