Promoting and Cultivating Chimonobambusa angustifolia Seedlings
An optimal Chimonobambusa angustifolia seedling can promote the cultivation of narrow leaved bamboo. In this study,a series of experiments were conducted to cultivate the Chimonobambusa angustifolia seedlings under the open air and the forest.A systematic measurement was performed on the survival rate of seedlings, the number of shoots, and the diameter of newly sprouted bamboo shoots. The results showed that there was the signifi-cant difference in the survival rate and the number of shoots of Chimonobambusa angustifolia seedlings under two planting environment conditions. The survival rate of seedlings in the understory environment was higher than that in the open-air environment.Furthermore, the survival rate of seedlings in both environmental conditions was above 90%,fully meeting the standard requirement of 85%survival rate for afforestation; The number of shoots that pro-duced in outdoor was greater than that in the understory, with the maximum of 110 shoots per plant(cluster)and the minimum of 15 shoots per plant(cluster)in outdoor environments; There was no significant difference in the di-ameter of newly released bamboo shoots. The finding can provide a strong reference to promote and cultivate the Chi-monobambusa angustifolia seedlings.
