Photosynthesis and Chlorophyll Fluorescence of three Medicinal Plants under Pinus massoniana Lamb.
The photosynthetic and chlorophyll fluorescence of Sarcandra glabra,Paris polyphylla and Epimedium sagittatum were studied under Punus massoniana Lamb.,in order to reveal their adaptation mechanism under the forest environment.Li-6800 Portable Photosynthesis System was utilized to measure the photosynthetic parameters and chlorophyll fluorescence kinetic parameters of three medicinal plants. The results show that there were the signifi-cant differences in Pn,Tr,Gs,WUE,Fo,Fm and Fv of the three medicinal plants(P<0.05),where the values of P.polyphylla were the largest and significantly higher than those of S.glabra and E.sagittatum.There were non-sig-nificant differences(P>0.05)in Fv/Fm,Fv/Fo and Fv′/Fm′ of three medicinal plants.AQY,Rd,Pn max,LCP and LSP of three medicinal plants were ranked in the descending order of the P.polyphylla>E.sagittatum.>S.glabra.There was the consistent trend of qP and φPSⅡof three medicinal plants, indicating the decrease with the increase of PAR;While the NPQ and ETR increased first and then decreased slowly with the increase of PAR.Therefore, the growth of the three medicinal plants was free from inhibition under the P.massoniana forest.Specifically, the photosynthesis and the light energy utilization of P.polyphylla were the strongest, the E-.Sagittatum was the second, and the S.glabra was the weakest. The finding can provide the scientific basis for the cultivation and application of P.polyphylla,E.Sagittatum and S.glabra medicinal plants under forest.
