Social governance modernization is a great practice that is profoundly changing and will keep changing China's social governance pat-terns,which is related not only to the modernization of national governance system and capability but also to the advancement of Chinese modernization and the realization of great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Since the Communist Party of China's 18th National Congress,the multiple paths to social governance modernization have been fully practiced,and the increasing maturity of jointly constructed,governed and shared social governance patterns serves as rich,vivid experience materials of reference for re-search on China's social governance.On the great journey of realizing the goal of so-cialist modernistic country the multiple-path research on social governance moderni-zation should cater to the change of times,respond to the epoch appeals,keep enric-hing the theoretical and practical systems regarding social governance,and provide striking sociological theoretical perspectives and disciplinary footnotes.The young scholars'discussions themed as"Multiple Paths to Social Governance Modernization"in our column aim at shedding light on relevant researches of our col-leagues.Yuan Yingchun mainly explores the connotations and features of the cohesive governance mechanism based on combing the connotations and evolution of grassroots social conflicts,and generalizes the difficulties faced by this governance mechanism and renders corresponding reflections,combined with field surveys.On the basis of field survey data Du Weiquan analyzes the main dilemmas ahead of current public's participation digitized social governance,and proposed the optimization paths.Through a case presentation of action research on the coordinated governance of a real minor's psychological crisis,Lin Chengyan illustrates how the coordinated mechanism concept was applied to the governance of minor's psychological crisis and how effective it was,and furthermore discusses what model and practice features the coordinated gov-ernance displays under China's public service framework.Du Shasha mostly expounds on the historic origin,peculiar advantages,inherent logic and practice paths for emo-tion governance,and takes emotion governance as an important governance mechanism for preventing and dealing with social problems,and promoting social stability and de-velopment.Starting from the deep logic of mismatch between the supplies and demands in terms of rural elderly-care services Zhu Huijie lays emphasis on discussing the deep connotations of holistic governance,and furthermore proposes the realistic paths for the high-quality development of rural elderly-care services.These five essays are in-depth discussions on the multiple paths to social governance modernization,combi-ning theoretical perspectives and experience analysis.It is our hope that these discus-sions can present the vivid practice of China-style social governance and show young scholars'academic wisdom in the process of China's social governance modernization.
