The Image Connotations of Elites'"Tours":Combining the Studies on Historic Inheritance of Literary Prototypes
The images of elites'"tours"are an important content of the theme of tradi-tional Chinese travelling saints,where reality and imagination are interwo-ven,showing a fundamental literary feature.A variety of image shaping in terms of orientation and focus as well as emotional tones constitutes the ima-ges of elites'"tours"with distinct,exceptional traits.Mainly they are divid-ed into two narrative structures,namely closed-loop,and missing-loop,represented in different ways.Through an interpretation of the two struc-tures,we can observe that the ancient Chinese historically inherited literary prototypes both collectively and individually.The collective dimension is the constant national mentality and cultural mentality while the individual di-mension is a result of different eras and authorship.
