General Secretary XI Jin-ping pointed out at the 2021 Central Ethnic Work Conference that"we should promote the common endeavour of all ethnic groups towards socialist modernisation",providing a fundamental guideline for the CPC's ethnic work in the new era.Promoting the common endeavour of all ethnic groups towards socialist modernisation is an unprecedented grand undertaking,a challenging exploration,and a systematic project with a long way to go.A great undertaking must be guided by scientific theories.Therefore,it is necessary to implement the CPC's ethnic theory,insist on forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation,firmly grasp the distinctive features of Chinese modernisation,and continue to promote various undertakings in ethnic work which include institution,economic,cultural,social and law progress,so as to lay a solid foundation for all ethnic groups in terms of following the trend of moving together towards socialist modernization.
