Study on the Evolution and Contemporary Value of Village Rules and Regulations in Ethnic Areas in Qing Dynasty——Taking Southwest Guizhou Province as an Example
The Qing Dynasty witnessed a period of great ethnic integration in Guizhou.The birth and development of village rules and regulations of Zhongjia in Southwest Guizhou Province,can be seen as a microcosm of the social history of ethnic groups in Guizhou during the Qing Dynasty,reflecting the entire process of ethnic integration in Guizhou and having significant value for the research on the history of ethnic integration,the historical study on the sense of national community,and study of regional culture.In the early Qing Dynasty,the government promoted Confucianism education in Guizhou,the social education gradually penetrated into the people,and the village rules and regulations of Zhongjia were made under the direction of government in Southwest Guizhou Province.In the middle of the Qing Dynasty,migrants flooded into the southwest of Guizhou.During this period,the village rules and regulations changed from government-led to public discussion.At the end of the Qing Dynasty,the situation was in turmoil.In order to tide over the difficulties,Zhongjia village in southwest Guizhou formed a group formulation model to make village rules and regulations,which strengthened national unity and promoted national integration.As an important way of self-governance of Zhongjia village in Qing Dynasty,the rules and regulations of Zhongjia in the Qing Dynasty of southwestern Guizhou still have contemporary value in simplifying folk customs,promoting ethnic unity and managing ethnic villages.
