Research on the Influence Mechanism of the National High-tech Zones on the Development of Local Digital Economy Based on the Innovation Diffusion Theory
Using the data from the 2012-2020"China Urban Statistical Yearbook","China Torch Statistical Yearbook",the Peking University's center for enterprise research and the CSMAR database,this paper empirically tests the promotion effect of the national high-tech zones on the development of local digital economy and also examines the specific mecha-nism of technological innovation diffusion in high-tech zones.The study found that the national high-tech zone has a sig-nificant innovation driving force for the development of the local digital economy,and the mechanism of this positive effect includes promoting the innovation of local digital economy products and improving the level of enterprises using digital tech-nology.However,the regression results of the mechanism test model show that the significant promotion effect of the nation-al high-tech zone on the application scale of digital technology is limited to the internal high-tech zone,which means that the driving force of the national high-tech zone to the local digital economy market demand is relatively small.
