Simulation study on runoff and sediment of sloping farmland under different crop planting patterns
Runoff and sediment yield is the main form of soil and water loss in slope farmland. In order to explore the impact of different planting patterns on runoff and sediment yield in slope farmland,artifi-cial rainfall simulation test method was used to conduct simulation tests on 7 planting patterns in slope farmland under the same slope and 3 rain intensities. The results showed that:1)Under different planting patterns, the slope runoff increased with the increase of rainfall intensity, and the initial runoff time shortened with the increase of rainfall intensity. The trend of runoff yield on slope surface was to increase gradually at first, and then(about 10 min)gradually tended to be stable.C Single mode had the worst flow reduction effect;A-B-C interplanting mode had the best flow reduction effect;Single cropping and interplanting of low growing crops could better promote rainfall infiltration.2)There was a positive correlation between slope sediment yield and rainfall intensity under different planting modes. The variation range of runoff sediment concentration of planting modes with low crop participa-tion was small, and the variation of runoff sediment concentration of single or interplanting modes with medium and high crops was complex. The sediment reduction effect of A-B-C interplanting mode was the best under light and moderate rain intensity;Under heavy rain,A-B had the best sediment reduc-tion effect. The effect of sediment reduction of planting mode with low height crops was better than that of interplanting mode of single planting of medium and high crops.3)There was a significant positive correlation between yield and rainfall intensity under different planting patterns. The sediment yield of single mode B and C and A-B-C interplanting mode had a correlation with rainfall intensity, while the correlation between other modes and rainfall intensity was not significant. To sum up,the single plant-ing of low crops and the interplanting mode involving low crops can effectively reduce flow and preserve soil. Therefore, when planting crops on sloping land, low crops should be considered to participate in planting,so as to avoid causing a lot of water and soil loss.
