Study on the corrosion inhibition performance of Dandelion leaf extract on iron tablets in hydrochloric Acid
In this paper,a plant corrosion inhibitor was extracted from Dandelion leaves by leaching method, and weight loss method,Fourier infrared spectroscopy test, corrosion morphology characteriza-tion method and combined with adsorption isothermal curve fitting were used to jointly investigate the corrosion inhibition performance and mechanism of Dandelion leaf extracts on pure iron in 1 mol/L HCl.The experimental results showed that the Dandelion leaf extract had a significant corrosion inhibi-tion effect on all iron flakes. At 35℃,the corrosion inhibition efficiency of 0.8 g/L dandelion leaf ex-tract was 97.45%,which was the best effect; The active molecular functional groups in Dandelion leaf extract occupy the reaction sites on the surface of iron tablets in the form of physical adsorption,inhibi-ting the corrosion of iron tablets. The results of adsorption isotherm fitting showed that the adsorption of Dandelion leaf extract on the surface of iron sheets was monomolecular layer adsorption. The adsorption process was consistent with Langmuir adsorption isotherm modeling.
