Identification and analysis of the TPS family of terpene synthases in Cyclocarya paliurus
Terpenes are an important class of compounds in plants that not only play a role in electron transport across cell membranes, but are also involved in plant photosynthesis and serve as major com-ponents of phytohormones.Terpene synthases TPS are key enzymes for the synthesis of terpenes, which are important for plant growth and defense against diseases. The present study comprehensively charac-terized and analyzed the TPS gene family in Cyclocarya paliurus and found that there were 63 TPS gene family members in Cyclocarya paliurus, and the proteins of these genes ranged from 260 to 854 amino acids in length and were distributed on 11 chromosomes in Cyclocarya paliurus.Through promoter cis-acting element analysis,it was predicted that the TPS gene family in Cyclocarya paliurus may be in-volved in a variety of biological responses. This study provides theoretical support for further investiga-tion of the physiological functions and mechanisms of response to environmental stresses for TPS in Cy-clocarya paliurus.
