Study on Microfibril Angle and Crystallinity of Purple Sugarcane Rind along the Stem Using X-Ray Technology
In this study, Both X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were applied in analysis of sugarcane rind along the height of its stem. Results showed that the main two components of the purple sugarcane rind are C, O, and a small amount of N, Si and Ca. From the bottom to the top, content of N, Si and Ca become lower. The atomic ratios of oxygen to carbon increase at first and then decrease from the bottom to the upward. The crystallinity of cellulose between 34.02% and 41.05% shows a trend of decrease along the stem. Microfibril angle is between 48.00? and 68.08?, and its change trend decreases firstly and then increases.
