Effects of Different Drought Resistance Treatments on the First Generation Stem of Sugarcane
The changes of agronomic traits of sugarcane first generation stems treated with coating and drought-resistant agent were measured after natural drought and rehydration, and the physiological mechanism changes of sugarcane first generation stems induced by coating and drought-resistant agent treatment were clarified, providing reference for drought-resistant planting of sugarcane first generation stems. There were 9 treatments in 3 groups, which were control group:normal water supply group A(CKA),normal drought and rewater(CKB);coating group:chitosan coating film(SC1),PE plastic film(SC2),breathable PET material coating(SC3);drought resistance agent group:ammonium polyacrylate(D1),sodium polyacrylate(D2),Xanthan gum(D3),Guar gum(D4),3.9648 mg/L(molecular weight 264.32,15 μmol/L)ABA(D5),2000 mg/L CaCl2 solution(D6),200 mg/L ethephon solution(D7).The results showed that after short-term drought, for example, after 10 days of drought, drought resistance agent group D1,D2,D4,D5,D6 and D7 treatment and coating group SC1 and SC2 treatment could ensure the effective growth of sugarcane first generation stem.Long-term drought, such as 20 days after drought, drought resistance agent group D1,D6 and D7 treatment can still ensure the effective growth of sugarcane first generation stem. After 10 days of rehydration, drought resistance agent groups D1,D5,D6 and D7 could still ensure the effective growth of sugarcane first generation stem.It was concluded that ammonium polyacrylate,2000 mg/L CaCl2 solution,200 mg/L ethephon solution could guarantee the effective growth of sugarcane first generation stem under drought condition.
