Effects of Applying Biochemical Humic Acid Fertilizer and Conventional Fertilizer on the Growth of Sugarcane
This study investigated the influence of humic acid fertilizer and conventional fertilizer on crop growth.Biochemical humic acid fertilizer and conventional chemical fertilizer were applied to sugarcane to investigate the different effects on promoting sugarcane growth.Compared with biochemical humic acid fertilizer and conventional chemical fertilizer, using biochemical humic acid fertilizer on sugarcane the seedling emergence rate, millable stalks, stalk diameter, plant height and sugarcane yield were increased 25.51%,2670 plants/hm2,40.45 mm,30.99 cm and 38.25 t/hm2 respectively. The brix was increased by 3.3%.The chlorophyll content in sugarcane leaves was increased by 69.58%.The content of soluble protein and soluble sugar in leaves and stems were also increased. The experiment results showed that applying biochemical humic acid fertilizer significantly increased the activity of hexokinase, amylase, and phosphate sucrose-synthetase in sugarcane leaves and stems. However,by using biochemical humic acid fertilizer the sucrose synthetase activity of leave was less than using conventional chemical fertilizer, but there was little difference in sugarcane stems. The application of biochemical humic acid promotes the growth of sugarcane and improved its yield and quality. Therefore, biochemical humic acid fertilizer can be developed and utilized during crop cultivation.
