Analysis of Global Crop Seed Trade Pattern and Competitiveness of Major Trading Countries from 2011 to 2020
This article analyzes the global crop seed trade and the competitiveness of major trading countries from 2011 to 2020.The global export and trade volume of crop seeds are showing a fluctuating upward trend,while the import and trade volume are also showing an increasing trend,indicating the sustained growth of global seed trade.Field crop seeds occupy the dominant position,while vegetable seeds and flower seeds account for a relatively small proportion but a relatively high proportion of trade volume.United States,Netherlands,France,and Germany are both the top four seed exporting and importing countries in the world,but these four countries have different specific rankings in import and export.Netherlands,France,and United States have higher market share,while Hungary,France,and Netherlands have higher revealed comparative advantage indices.Netherlands,France,Hungary,and United States have maintained trade surpluses over the past decade,with trade competitiveness indices and competitive advantage indices both greater than 0,indicating a strong competitive advantage.China is less than 0 in these two indicators,indicating weak competitiveness.
