Green and Low-carbon Development of the Sugar Industry:Current Status,Challenges,and Strategies
Sugarcane is the main raw material for sugar production in China,the sugar industry in Guangxi plays an important role in ensuring the safe supply of national sugar.However,the industry faces issues such as structural pollution and low product added value.The green and low-carbon development of Guangxi's sugar industry is of great significance for promoting industrial transformation and upgrading,and implementing the national"Dual-carbon"strategic objectives.However,the transformation and upgrading of sugar industry also faces a series of challenges,including climate and market environment changes,insufficient policy support and enterprise adaptability,carbon emission restrictions in the industrial chain,etc.Building on this foundation,this article proposes strategies and recommendations such as improve equipment efficiency and green intelligence level,promote clean and renewable energy,promote carbon management throughout the entire life cycle of the sugar industry,increase policy support,and increase green finance support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
