In recent years, studies on the biosynthesis pathway of gibberellin in model plants such as Arabidopsis and rice have become increasingly perfect, while the biosynthesis pathway of gibberellin in sugarcane has not been clarified. In order to further verify the function of ScGA3ox,a preliminary study on the function of ScGA3ox in sugarcane was carried out.In this study, the plant overexpression vector of sugarcane GA3 oxidase gene ScGA3ox was constructed, and the gene was transformed into Arabidopsis thaliana by Agrobacterium-mediated method to rapidly verify its function in plant growth. The results showed that,ScGA3ox overexpression vector was successfully constructed, and Arabidopsis thaliana was transformed to obtain overexpression transgenic T2 strain.Overexpression of ScGA3ox affected the phenotype of Arabidopsis thaliana. There was a significant difference in plant height between ScGA3ox transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana and wild plants(WT).ScGA3ox-1 and ScGA3ox-2 strains were 5.04 cm and 2.33 cm shorter than wild plants, respectively.Sugarcane GA3 oxidase gene ScGA3ox has an important effect on plant growth, but its specific function needs to be further studied. The results of this study will provide theoretical support for further analysis of the molecular mechanism of ScGA3ox gene regulating sugarcane internode length.
