Determination of Erythritol,Xylitol,Sorbitol, and Maltitol in Gummies by Ultrahigh Performance Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Method
Establish an ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry detection method for detecting erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol, and maltitol content in gummies. The sample was extracted by water ultrasound at 70℃for 30 min, diluted with 70%acetonitrile-water(V/V),and analyzed by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(UPLC-QDa).The mobile phase is acetonitrile-0.1%ammonia aqueous solution, gradient elution at a flow rate of 0.2 mL/min and column temperature at 40℃,and the sample injection volume is 1 μL.Sugar alcohol was qualitatively determined by retention time and selected ions and quantified by external standard method. The linear relationship of erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol, and maltitol is good(R2>0.99)in the concentration range of 5~160 μg/mL.The spiked recoveries are within the range of 90.44%~104.46%.The relative standard deviation(RSD)of method precision is 1.84%~4.19%(n=6).This method is applicable for the determination of erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol, and maltitol in gummies.
