Effect of Cultivation Mode and Ecological Conditions on Grain Weight and Type of Wheat
To study the effects of different cultivation modes and ecological conditions on grain weight and grain type of wheat,8 weak gluten wheat varieties from Yangmai and Ningmai series and 2 medi-um gluten wheat varieties were used as materials.Measure and analyze the stability and differences of thousand grain weight and grain type of the tested wheat varieties in different years, pilot sites, and cultivation modes. The results showed that wheat grain weight and grain type were controlled by both the genetic characteristics of the variety and the influence of cultivation modes and ecological condi-tions.The difference in thousand grain weight between cultivation modes was not significant, and the variation trend of grain type traits of the tested varieties was basically consistent in different pilot sites, years, and cultivation modes. The weak gluten wheat varieties Yangmai15 and Yangmai24,as well as the medium gluten variety Yangmai28,had higher thousand grain weight and ideal grain type in different pilot sites, years, and cultivation modes. To achieve ideal wheat grain weight and type,in addition to selecting varieties with larger grain sizes,it is also necessary to choose ecological areas suitable for wheat growth, coupled with appropriate cultivation modes,to ensure sufficient water and fertilizer during the wheat filling period.
