The Impact of Drought Stress on Seed Germination and Seedling Growth of Indigofera stachyodes after Cold Storage
To investigate the effect of drought stress on the growth of Indigofera stachyodes seeds and seedlings after 4℃cold storage,a drought stress experiment was conducted on I.stachyodes seeds under different drought environments. The results showed that with the increase of PEG-6000 concen-tration,the germination rate, germination potential, and germination index of the seeds decreased. With the increase of PEG-6000 concentration, the seedling length, main root length, number of fibrous roots, and fresh weight of I.stachyodes seedlings showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing.Comprehensive analysis showed that the germination rate of I.stachyodes seeds was sig-nificantly inhibited with the increase of PEG-6000 concentration. When the PEG-6000 concentration reached 25%,the germination ability of I.stachyodes seeds was completely inhibited. When the PEG-6000 concentration was 5%to 10%,it promoted the growth and development of I.stachyodes seed-lings.
