Effects of Meteorological Factors on Grain Filling Characteristics During Effective Filling Period of Maize
In order to explore the influence of meteorological factors on the filling characteristics of summer maize in northern He'nan,Zhengdan958,Xindan88 and Xindan98 were used as materials to analyze the grain growth dynamics and filling characteristics of maize, and the relationship between grain weight, grain filling parameters and meteorological factors was discussed. The results showed that there were some differences in meteorological factors during the effective filling period of the three maize varieties, and the maximum value was reached within 24-31 days after pollination, and the final grain weight was significantly positively correlated with t2 and w3,and was significantly pos-itively correlated with Gmean,w1,v1,w2,v2,t3 and v3.Correlation analysis between filling parame-ters and meteorological factors showed that the total rainfall during effective filling period of the three maize varieties significantly increased the first two stages of filling period, and then extended the fill-ing period.Days≥33℃significantly limited the average filling rate and grain accumulation during effective filling period, and then reduced the final grain weight. The effective accumulated tempera-ture was positively correlated with the final grain weight and many other grouting parameters,indica-ting that the extension of effective accumulated temperature during the filling period could increase the material accumulation of corn and thus increase the yield.Climatic factors affect the filling process of summer maize in northern He'nan Province.Suitable varieties should be selected according to climatic characteristics.
