Effects of Different Sowing Rates on Growth Dynamics and Yield of Oat
In order to solve the problem of high sowing rate in the production of fodder oats,a compar-ative experiment of sowing rate was carried out with imported Baylor Ⅱ oats. The sowing rate was 112.5 kg/hm2,120 kg/hm2,127.5 kg/hm2,135 kg/hm2,142.5 kg/hm2,150 kg/hm2,a total of 6 see-ding treatments. The results showed that the suitable sowing amount could reduce the planting cost, obtain the forage with high quality and quantity, the sowing amount was too high, the cluster popula-tion was huge, not only increased the cost, but also was disadvantageous to the rational population structure of oat,and had more ineffective tillers, causing a waste of soil power and seeds.112.5 kg/hm2 was the optimum sowing quantity in suitable environment and normal sowing time.
