Japan's system of ideological manipulation in Hainan Island during the Japanese occupation(1939-1945)
Japan invaded and occupied Hainan Island from February 1939 to August 1945.In order to manipu-late the public opinion and people's ideas in the island,Japan established a system of ideological manipulation that was dominated by Japan.First,Japan mastered the executive dominance of implementing ideological manipulation through the Administrative Bureau of the Hainan Navy Special Service Department. Then,Japan exerted the comprehensive control over the educational system in the island, making education a tool for its ideological manipulation.Further,Japan completely monopolized the propaganda system of public opinion in the island, creating a closed and single public opinion environment. Finally,Japan adopted a strict police system and a baojia system, forming a rigorous ideological and behavioral supervision mechanism.
