The path between dream and reality:Su Shi's narrative of responding to the dream and his memory rewriting
Through the abstract correspondence built by association,Su Shi found a realistic basis to complete the dream-reality conversion in his works.While providing a rational explanation for the proposition that"life is like a dream",his writing of the story of responding to the dream also formed a regular narrative mode which focused on the abstract rather connection rather than the concrete image correspondence.When dreams become the memory after a long time,the realistic logic of dream-reality conversion also urged Su Shi to rewrite his dream memory on the premise of retaining abstract correspondence between dream and reality.Considering the unity of such internal literary factors as style and theme as well as such realistic factors as self-image,Su Shi's rewriting of dream memory also presents a facet as a writing strategy.Su Shi's writing of the story of responding to the dream shows the complexity when the past and present where the memory writing as the literary works exist are interwoven with the reality.
