Emergency decision of the fresh agricultural product supply chain in the emergencies
Major emergencies such as the COVID-19 have a serious influence on the global industry chain and supply chain. The fresh agricultural product supply chain is more vulnerable to the impact of emergencies.A two-echelon supply chain of fresh agricultural products consisting of the"cooperative+supermarket"is es-tablished in this paper.Since the unit operation cost of supermarket is asymmetric and disturbed in an emer-gency,the freshness-retaining effort of the supermarket is taken as a decision variable. The emergency deci-sion of fresh agricultural product supply chain is studied under the consideration of cost disruption and fresh-ness-retaining effort. The results show that the fresh agricultural product supply chain is robust with the cost disruption in a certain threshold range when an emergency occurs. The cost disruption exceeds the robust threshold interval with the emergency level being larger, and the optimal decision of fresh agricultural prod-uct supply chain will change.Whatever the emergency happens or not,the freshness-retaining capacity is a vi-tal positive influencing factor form the freshness-retaining effort, the freshness-retaining cost and the system goals. Finally, the emergency management strategies are summarized and put forward for fresh agricultural product supply chain in the emergencies.
