Lefebvre's research on Engels' philosophy and its theoretical misunderstanding
As one of the representative figures of existential Marxism,Lefebvre,while exploring and ex-plaining Marxism,studied Engels'philosophy and raised many so-called"doubts"about it.Generally,these"doubts"cover the"basic philosophical problems"on the ontological level,the"Dialectics of Nature"on the methodological level,and the"determinism and law"on the epistemological level.However,the differ-ences of standpoint and research perspective make Lefebvre distort and misread Engels'philosophy.These doubts lack persuasiveness,but further reflect the scientific and progressive nature of Engels'philosophy.
