This study conducted in-depth interviews with 21 postdoctoral fellows from double first-class uni-versities,and constructed a model of the impact mechanism of postdoctoral entry decisions through three-level cod-ing.It is found that subjective norms, behavior attitude, perceived behavior control and feedback form the frame-work of postdoctoral entry decision, including specific performance for employment and career development pres-sure,utilitarianism and affective attitude drive, internal and external control of the academic relationship and work-ing status, reinforcement of external identity and self-identity.Career development, emotional attitude and working state are the most important factors affecting the career choice of PhD graduates.Whether doctoral graduates will be employed as postdocs ultimately depends on the combined force of"pull and reverse push"with"push and reverse pull".
