The concept of personality education in ancient and modern times,both domestically and interna-tionally,is the cultural origin of the upright personality of ideological and political teachers in colleges.A dignified personality is an inherent requirement for ideological and political teachers in colleges to teach ideological and polit-ical courses well.It mainly consists of such five aspects as the firm political personality,the noble moral personali-ty,the excellent academic personality,the unique teaching personality,and the full emotional personality.Its sha-ping path includes:firstly,studying the Marxist-Leninist Classics to enhance theoretical literacy;secondly,draw-ing ethical wisdom from excellent traditional Chinese culture;thirdly,refining personal cultivation in teaching and research practice;fourthly,combining with the construction of college teacher ethics and style to enhance personal realm.
