Rural revitalization is the only way of Chinese path to modernization.Rural teachers are the founda-tion of rural education and the driving force of rural revitalization.From the perspective of role expectation theory,it explains the beautiful vision of the current construction of rural teachers'identity to meet the"social expecta-tion""partner expectation"and"audience expectation".It is found that the quality,image,duty and behavior of rural teachers are different from the ideal expectation of the public.Therefore,it puts forward the conception of building the identity of rural teachers in the new era:to enhance the height of morality,to be the cultivator of each student's growth,to enhance the validity of knowledge,to be the researcher of lifelong learning self-reflection,to extend the breadth of communication,to be the coordinator of multi-subject cooperative education,to tap the depth of emotion,to be the inheritor of the deep cultivation of local culture,to light up the future of rural education,and to inject strong momentum into rural revitalization.
