The identity recognition of novice rural teachers is closely related to the sustainability of the novice rural teacher workforce in terms of'being able to stay, being able to retain, and being able to teach well.'Vygots-ky's sociocultural theory can provide a new research perspective for constructing identity recognition for novice ru-ral teachers.Faced with realities such as blurred identity positioning, limited developmental resources, and a less intense culture of respecting teachers, novice rural teachers need to gradually adapt to the rural educational field and construct a positive and solid identity recognition by internalizing their own practices and emotions, utilizing in-termediary resources provided by rural schools, and relying on the society's concerted efforts to create an atmos-phere of respecting teachers. This will inject continuous vitality and vigor into rural education, thus contributing to its sustainable development.
