Laying the Foundation for New China Higher Education——Overview of North China University,the Direct Predecessor of Renmin University of China
As direct predecessor of Renmin University of China,red gene of North China University can be traced back to the Shaanbei Public School which was built in 1937 in Yan'an.North China University,established in the summer of 1948,brought together the important teachers of North China United University and North University.Through scientific college(department)setting,practical personnel training objectives and organized scientific activities,it trained a large number of cadres for the revolution and construction at that time,and made active explorations in scientific research.After the founding of People's Republic of China(PRC),North China University directly gave birth to many famous universities,scientific re-search institutions and cultural groups in New China,such as China Renmin University.It can be called a major educational town in North China that has made fundamental contributions to higher education in New China.
