Analysis of the Present Situation and Consideration of Problems in Carrying out Education for the Elderly in Colleges and Universities
Under the background of deeply aging population,education for the aged has become an important work in the field of education.It is of practical significance for colleges and universities to actively carry out education for the elderly to improve the lifelong education system,promote the active aging strategy,vigorously develop the silver-haired economy,build a lifelong learning society and realize the free and all-round development of the elderly.At present,the survival and development of the elderly group has become the focus of social attention and needs more attention and support.Carrying out or actively participating in the education for the elderly in colleges and universities is an important measure to implement the national policy for the development of education and services for the elderly and an important way for colleges and uni-versities to fulfill their social service responsibilities.By combing the data of"double-first-class"universities and some local universities(including comprehensive universities,local normal universities and financial colleges),the study analyzes the present situation of the elderly education in universities and puts forward corresponding improvement suggestions and devel-opment strategies.
