Wang Chuanshan always sought"the courtesy of the state"and put forward many new ideas in historical philosophy.For a long time,the historical philosophy of Wang Chuanshan has been separated from the two opposing viewpoints of"democracy"and"Confucian benevolent government thought".In his book The Reconstruction of Confucianism in the Song and Ming Dynasties:Interpretation of Wang Chuanshan's Philosophical Texts,Professor Cheng Zhihua has made a through study on Wang Chuanshan's"view of history"and"theory of capital governance","legitimacy"and"legitimacy",as well as"politics"and"governance".The book interprets the theoretical system of Wang Chuanshan's historical philosophy,and argues that Wang Chuanshan's political philosophy is not democracy,but still the traditional"Confucian benevolent governance thought".This conclusion has corrected the misunderstanding of Wang Chuanshan's historical philosophy and offered new insights into the study of Confucianism.
