Measurement of Social Integration Level and Urban Residence Intention of Migrant Workers
Based on the data of the China Migrants Dynamic Survey(CMDS),this paper constructed an evaluation system of the social integration level of Chinese migrant workers.Additionally,a spatial econometric model was utilized to demonstrate the distribution characteristics of migrant workers'intention to stay in different regions. This research reveals the following findings:First, the social integration level of rural migrant workers is relatively low, with the highest level of economic integration and the lowest level of social acceptance.Second, migrant workers'long-term residency intention in cities is significantly higher than the willingness of migrant workers to settle down, and there are differences in spatial distribution. The long-term residency intention of migrant workers is in line with the rising trend of the overall social integration degree. In contrast, the migrant workers'intention to settle down and the monolithic social integration degree show"opposite"characteristics.Third, from the generational perspective, the spatial distribution of the urban long-term residence intention of the two generations of migrant workers shows an upward and then downward trend from west to east. However, the spatial characteristics of the intention to obtain local household registration are not evident.
