Manufacturing Development in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei:Spatio-temporal Differentiation Characteristics and Dynamic Evolution Laws
Taking 31 manufacturing industries in 13 cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei city cluster as the research objects,using the coefficient of variation method and the standard deviation ellipse method,we have analyzed the temporal evolution characteristics,spatial evolution characteristics,and industrial transfer trends of the development of the manufacturing industry in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,as well as its sub-industries(labour-intensive manufacturing industry,capital-intensive manufacturing industry,and technology-intensive manufacturing industry),in terms of the three dimensions of the industrial scale,innovation capacity,and capital-intensive capacity.The study focuses on the temporal evolution characteristics,spatial evolution characteristics and industrial transfer trends of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei manufacturing industry since the implementation of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy.Research findings indicate that the manufacturing transfer in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has been orderly progressing,initially forming a labor division pattern characterized by"complementary advantages and staggered development,"and gradually shifting from labor-intensive and capital-intensive to technology-intensive industries,with a notable trend of upgrading towards high-end manufacturing.The innovation capacity of the manufacturing sector has been continuously enhanced,yet the phenomenon of uneven innovation development is increasingly severe.Additionally,crucial factors such as innovative elements and capital elements exhibit poor mobility and demonstrate distinct agglomeration characteristics.Furthermore,there exists a mismatch between the innovation capability of the manufacturing industry and its industrial scale and volume.Based on these observations,corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are proposed,focusing on optimizing spatial layout,fostering an innovative soft environment,promoting resource sharing,and establishing demonstration models for high-quality manufacturing development.
