Characteristics and Ecological Risk Assessment of Heavy Metal Pollution in Soil of Typical Smelter Sites
In order to master the level of environmental risk in the soil of the smelter site and pro-vide technical basis for environmental risk management, the concentrations of As,Cu,Ni,Hg,Pb,Cd and Zn in the soil were respectively determined with a typical smelter as the research ob-ject,and the spatial distribution characteristics of heavy metals were studied by using inverse dis-tance weight interpolation method. The pollution degree and ecological risk level of soil heavy metals were evaluated by single factor pollution index,Nemerow pollution index, geological accu-mulation index,Nemerow composite index, geological accumulation index, potential ecological risk index and ecological risk early warning index. The results showed that the concentrations of all heavy metals in the study area exceeded the risk screening value of GB 15618-2018,and showed high variability. The soil heavy metal pollution was the most serious in melting area,blo-wing and dilution area and warehouse area. The Pi and Pn of Cd,Pb,Hg,Zn,As and Cu inde-xes were all in the severe pollution level.Cd,Pb,Hg,Zn,As,and Cu indicators all had cumu-lative risks. The potential ecological risk index of soil heavy metals in the study area ranged from 10 322 to 68 663,all of which were at very high risk level. The ecological risk warning index ranged from 409 to 2 467,all of which were in the heavy alarm level.
