Research on coordinated development of new quality productivity and carbon emission efficiency in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region
This study selected data on new quality productivity and carbon emission efficiency for each city in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region from 2006 to 2022,constructing evaluation index systems for both subsystems.Initially, the entropy method and the SBM-DDF model were used to measure new quality productivity and carbon emission efficiency, respectively.Subsequently,an improved coupling coordination degree model and a relative development degree model were ap-plied to assess the level of coupling coordination and the development status between the two sub-systems.The results reveal that the level of new quality productivity in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region shows a trend of rapid growth with significant inter-regional differences. The coupling coor-dination level between new quality productivity and carbon emission efficiency exhibits a trend of fluctuating increase, with the carbon emission efficiency in most cities lagging behind the develop-ment of new quality productivity, while only a few cities have achieved synchronized development. This research provides theoretical support and practical evidence for the coordinated evolution of new quality productivity and carbon emission efficiency in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region,aid-ing in the scientific formulation of differentiated development strategies.
